It offers a warm, supportive working environment where collaboration and clinical freedom are genuinely encouraged. You'll be part of a highly capable team of Vets, Nurses, and support staff who are committed to delivering the best care to their patients - and enjoy a great social atmosphere outside of work too.The practice is fully equipped with in-house lab facilities, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and multiparameter monitoring. A visiting surgery certificate holder supports with orthopaedics and more advanced procedures, allowing the team to handle a wide variety of cases.The Role:Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - 3 to 4 days per week (9am-7pm)1 in 4 weekend rota, no out-of-hours or late nightsVaried caseload including soft tissue, emergency, and routine surgeryClinical freedom to manage cases your way, with peer support when neededOpportunity for progression into a Senior or Clinical Lead positionWhat We're Looking For:Minimum 3-4 years' experience in UK small animal practiceConfident in consultations, general surgery, and case managementA strong communicator who thrives in a team environmentInterest in developing clinical or leadership skills furtherWhat's on Offer:Salary up to £100,000 (depending on experience, FTE)No out-of-hours and minimal bank holiday workGenerous CPD allowance, with full support for certificates weeks' holiday, increasing to weeks after two yearsPrivate health insurance and contributory pensionEnhanced maternity/paternity pay and birthday leaveFunded professional memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)Staff discounts and wellbeing support programsThis is a great opportunity for an experienced vet seeking a role that combines clinical variety, work-life balance, and genuine professional autonomy - all within a supportive, independent environment.
