Permanent Warehouse Forklift Driver (with a career path to a Van + HGV Driver)Pay Rate: Competitive  Location: Portsmouth Start Date: January 2026 We’re delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, fast-growing family business for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Forklift Driver. This position offers a genuine long-term career pathway, with the opportunity to develop into a Relief Van Driver and ultimately progress to a fully qualified HGV Driver. Full training and support are provided for the right candidate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on warehouse work, is confident using a forklift, and is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive and friendly environment. Key Responsibilities Safely loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift Preparing customer orders for dispatch Maintaining an organised, tidy and efficient warehouse Providing occasional relief van driving to support the transport team Assisting with stock checks and general warehouse duties Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations Developing the skills required to progress into an HGV Moffett Driver role What We’re Looking For A valid UK car (Category B) driving licence – essential A counterbalance forklift licence Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive, proactive attitude Willingness to learn, develop and pursue a long-term career Tacho card or any level of HGV training is beneficial but not required Good communication skills and a team-focused approach What’s on Offer from the Customer Full training and support to gain HGV qualifications Clear progression to van driver and ultimately HGV driver A welcoming, family-run working environment with reduced red tape 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday – no weekends 30 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), with the potential to increase over time Enhanced company pension scheme Competitive salary Free on-site parking Excellent job security and opportunities for development If you’re ready to take the next step in your driving career with flexible hours and competitive pay, apply now
