The RoleThe successful applicant will be working on production equipment much of which, being customer-specific, is for one-off manufacture. Manage the production department, including personnel, equipment and resourcesHolding contract meetings with the engineering department to manage production timescalesWorking within the contract budgets and timescales, including quality control and packingResponsible for maintenance and organisation of main workshop and other workshop areas including the Machine Workshop and Development WorkshopLiaise with machining suppliers and subcontractorsEnsure that the Company Safety Policy is implemented at all times and provide a safe working environmentAttend and report to management meetingsLiaise with the admin department to organise and co-ordinate shipments and ordersLiaise with the admin department to provide cost estimates for manufactured partsThe CandidateStrong people management experienceProven experience as a Production ManagerHands-on production background and progressed into managementStrong planning and deadline managementIt is highly beneficial if candidates have knowledge of assembly, machining and inspection proceduresThe PackageOffering up to £45k for candidates that meet all skills and abilities, 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank) and other competitive benefits.
