We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Aylesbury. Job Title: Occupational Therapist. Location: Aylesbury. Salary: £40,000 – £53,200 based on experience. Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. About the role: In your role as an Occupational Therapist, you’ll join a dynamic new specialist school serving students aged 11 to 18. You’ll advance occupational therapy services tailored to a diverse student body, including many with autism spectrum disorders and related challenges like complex developmental trauma. The multifaceted needs of these students call for a comprehensive and strategic method of care. Essential Criteria: Registered with the HCPC Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectivel Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults. Experience of lecturing/teaching/training Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work. Duties: Carry out Occupational Therapy assessments of children/ young adults with diverse presentations to identify needs and develop and support the delivery of individualised intervention programmes. Provide specialist expertise in OT principles and techniques through advice, training, supervision and consultation to other members of staff. Work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team which encompasses the education, residential and clinical services. Communicate and share information in a highly skilled and sensitive manner with young people, families, other professionals and agencies using the highest levels of interpersonal skills in situations which are likely to be highly emotive and sometimes confrontational. Support and participate in the recruitment of OTs and other staff across the region. Train, observe, explain and model to staff within the services and support them to carry out their tasks. Promote, support, initiate, implement and evaluate agreed service developments and projects, drawing on the analysis of needs. Why work with Pulse?
