Mechanical Engineer

TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work in the Chertsey, Surrey area working in ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company. The role will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, with lots of overtime available. Must work weekends on a shift rota (roughly 1 in 4 but will vary). This role requires flexibility during their busy season (May to October) with regards to hours and days worked. Salary: £40,000 (Overtime after 40 hours is at time and a half) This is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for a new challenge, wants to join a fast paced and high performing team renowned for their approach and delivery of unparalleled service. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis: Key responsibilities:Operation & maintenance of H&V plant, including pumps etc.Operation & maintenance of swimming pool & Jacuzzi systems.Responding to breakdowns.Undertaking scheduled maintenance.Fault finding, diagnosis & carrying out repair or replacement of equipment.Managing stock & supplies of equipment.Technical support to colleagues & assisting others.Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues.Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.Liaise regularly with managers, supervisors & colleagues to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.Always provide a highly customer focused service to the company and client.Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety.Seasonal shift & on call rota.Any other duties as and when required. Benefits:20 days holiday plus bank holidaysCompany vehicle & Fuel card provided – not to be taken home.Unlimited overtimeWorking for a high-end clientEnd of year rewardsPrivate medical Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities:To be fully qualified & an experienced mechanical engineer.NVQ level 2 or above in plumbing & heating.BEng or level 2 diploma particularly in mechanical, production or electrical engineering.Level 2 diploma in H&V.Experience in building or facilities maintenance.The relevant technical knowledge.Work well under pressure.Good verbal & written communication skills. Personal Attributes:Highly conscientious, reliable, and punctual.Strong time management, organisation, and planning skills.High level of written and verbal communication skills across all levels.Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to use their initiative.Highly flexible and adaptable.Can work under pressure with the ability to meet strict deadlines.Highly professional and presentable.Able to work well in a team and unsupervised.Extremely confidential and discreet.Can follow instructions in a cooperative and accurate manner.Loyal, trustworthy, respectful, and honest.High attention to detail.
