You'll join a collaborative finance team and work closely with sales and operations to align credit practices with business goals. The credit control department currently has two team members ready to develop under your leadership.Job DescriptionYou'll manage and develop the credit control team, implement structure, and drive best practices.Key responsibilities include credit risk assessment, negotiating credit insurance policies, liaising with solicitors, and monitoring overdue accounts.You'll also shape policies, processes, and reporting-this is a hands-on role with full autonomy and the backing of senior leadership.What Makes You SuccessfulProven experience as a Credit Manager (construction sector experience is a plus)Strong understanding of legal and court processesExcellent communication skills and proficiency in ExcelA proactive, structured approach with the ability to lead and develop a teamThe Successful ApplicantYou'll thrive in this role if you have proven experience as a Credit Manager and ideally some exposure to the construction sector. A strong understanding of legal and court processes is essential, along with excellent communication skills and proficiency in Excel. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in leading and developing a team. If you enjoy taking ownership and implementing structure, this role is for you.What's on OfferCompetitive salary: £45,000-£50,000 (depending on experience)25 days holiday plus bank holidaysOffice-based hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pmThe chance to shape a department and work closely with senior leadership
