NHS UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL – NHS FIXED TERM LOCUM CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN VACANCY – MIDLANDSWe are now recruiting an NHS Fixed Term Locum Consultant for one of the largest University Teaching Hospitals in the NHS.It includes both routine and emergency obstetrics and on call for obstetrics (non-resident on-call 1 in 8). The key clinical requirement of the post are to provide consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean lists, ward rounds, assessment unit cover and antenatal clinics. 44 Consultants contribute to our clients obstetrics and gynaecology service, of which 18 are obstetric consultants, 18 gynaecologists and 8 combined obstetrician and gynaecologists. Our clients labour suite is associated with a level 3 Neonatal Unit, dedicated obstetric anaesthetic service, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services. There is a 3 tier junior doctor 24 hour presence. Fetal medicine centre accepts regional referrals. There is a dedicated maternity medicine service. There is a strong research presence in the department, our client is also a leading Trust in national and international clinical trials.Additional Information: - Obstetric ultrasound provided onsite by radiology team - Consultants lead specialist scan clinics including fetal growth surveillance and preterm birth - Gynaecology service also includes: Urogynaecology, reproductive medicine, benign and emergency gynaecology, gynae oncology - Excellent Training & Educational opportunities - Opportunities to be involved in innovative projects - Excellent support & teaching network - CESR trainingOur client is happy to issue Certificate of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors however GMC registration and MRCOG are essential for this position.
