CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER Location: Site based - North East Contract duration: 30 month contract, potential further extensions. Inside IR35 (PAYE / Umbrella) Project info: Green Hydrogen Recruitment Partner: Airswift Account Manager: Sam Borgogno Role synopsis: Currently responsible for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants. We are looking for a Construction Engineer who will be responsible for the management of the construction works of a large tanks and containers for a Green Hydrogen Project. Key Accountabilities - Prioritise and enforce safety protocols and practise throughout the project to minimise risk and ensure safe working environment. - Implement quality control measures to ensure construction works meet the required quality standards and specifications - Accountable for safe, compliant delivery of the designed activities and steps within the construction/commissioning procedures defined as per the quality expectations of the project - Design Coordination: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that the works meet technical specifications. - Monitor Project progress, tracking milestones and address any delays or deviations from the schedule to ensure timely project completion. - Support Construction manager for budgets for subcontracted works, establish the construction budget & progress control and reporting. Education/Experience: - HNC / HND or equivalent in Engineering such as Civil, Mechanical or E&I - 5+ years of working in Construction & Commissioning roles Essential experience: - A strong track record in project delivery or in supporting complex Project management involving Civil Works, Steel Structures, Piping, Reinforced Concrete, Tanks - An understanding of the standards and protocols of the industry - An understanding of industry standards Desirable Experience - Cryogenic Tanks - Major Infrastructure or industrial project experience - 5+ years’ experience in mid to large scale engineering projects
