Job type: Permanent, Full Time. Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage and dispatch of goods, maintaining high standards of organisation and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving, checking, and accurately logging incoming stock deliveries. Picking and packing orders with precision to ensure timely dispatch. Loading and unloading goods safely using appropriate handling techniques. Maintaining warehouse organisation, ensuring stock is stored correctly and in designated areas. Conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies. Using internal systems to update stock levels and track orders. Assisting with the safe operation of warehouse equipment and machinery. Keeping the warehouse clean and hazard-free, following health and safety procedures. Working closely with all departments to ensure smooth workflow and excellent service to our customers. Handling customer returns and ensuring they are processed correctly. Assisting with loading for the delivery team when required. Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment. Work in harmony with other team members, communicating in a professional respectful manner to ensure a seamless workflow

Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred. Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 25kg. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach. Basic IT skills to manage stock records and internal systems. Maths and English at GCSE Grade C or 4. Commitment to the role and reliability. Flexibility to carry out overtime when needed for needs of the business Must be a driver with permanent access to a car, as our location is not accessible via public transport (East Hanningfield, CM3 8EB).

Desirable Skills:

Experience in a similar role within distribution or logistics. Forklift license or willingness to undertake training. Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude. Living within a 30-minute drive from CM3 8EB. Customer service experience.

Benefits:

Monday – Friday 28 days Holiday (20 days plus Bank Holidays), increasing by one day after one year's service and every year up to a maximum of five years. Overtime at 1.5x hourly rate. Full uniform supplied (Summer & Winter). Healthy snacks and drinks provided. Holiday Season shutdown (deducted from annual entitlement). Free parking. Training and support provided.
