Job Description CHEMICAL PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a CHEMICAL PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER A Kings Award winning business, need a Chemical Process Safety Engineer to ensure effective implementation of process whilst observing risk management process. We have 2 roles available, one more Senior and that allows us to consider a more Junior individual NO SPONSERSHIP CAN BE OFFERED – MUST HAVE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK Commutable from Standish, Chorley, Wigan, Leigh, Bolton, Skelmersdale, Horwich, St Helens, Ormskirk, Middlebrook and Makerfield KEY BENEFITS Salary: £70,000  Days  BUPA healthcare available Kings Award winning business Unique products supplying into a vast array of different industry sectors Varied and fascinating role 33 Days holiday including stats RESPONSIBILITIES Supporting compliance with DSEAR and COMAH UK regulations Develop and implement process safety strategies to meet regulatory and operational requirements.  Deliver technical safety/process engineering solutions that support business objectives.  Lead and participate in process safety assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL target-setting studies, generating reports and managing follow-up actions.  OEE improvements Improvement of cell layouts and lean methodologies Conduct hazardous area classification following industry standards and guidelines.  Develop and implement Functional Safety Management Plans.  Review and produce safety engineering deliverables, including HSE plans, safety specifications, and equipment specifications.  Provide technical input to design assurance reviews, such as P&ID reviews and constructability assessments.  Ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, and best practices in process safety and environmental engineering.  REQUIREMENTS Degree in appropriate Engineering Discipline, ideally Chemistry Must have the right to work in the UK Strong understanding of process safety principles and risk management frameworks. Experience in process safety methodologies, design practices, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of relevant H & S Environmental legislation Familiarity with FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Plant Start-up processes.
