As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This is a fantastic opportunity for career growth, with study support provided to help you achieve your professional qualifications.
 
Your responsibilities as the Assistant Accountant will include:

Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable. Maintain accurate financial records and perform reconciliations. Support the preparation of financial reports and statements. Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy. Complete payroll and liaise with accountants and staff. Complete all bookkeeping activities and present to management with findings. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects. Maintain the balance sheet. Maintain Fixed Assets. Complete VAT returns. To be considered for the role of Assistant Accountant:
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero which the business uses). What's on Offer:
