As a Finance Assistant, your primary responsibilities will encompass: Ensuring the accurate and timely input of client and firm data into the firm's Envision system. Posting receipts for fee notes to ledgers and coordinating with credit control to ensure proper allocation. Collaborating with fee earners on transaction-related matters. Utilizing online banking systems for payment processing. Conducting daily bank reconciliations. Supplying audit evidence and ensuring compliance with Law Society rules for handling client funds. Managing the Purchase Ledger, including logging and scheduling payments. Required Knowledge and Experience: Prior experience in a cash room role within a law firm is necessary, although experience in accounts payable is beneficial but not mandatory as training will be provided. A solid grasp of Scottish legal accounting regulations. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Excellent organizational and time management skills. A high level of integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive financial information. SOLAS qualification. Experience with handling busy Residential Transaction settlements.
