This role comes with a competitive pay rate of £14.71 per hour.As a Kitchen Assistant, you will:Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver a flexible, efficient catering serviceSupport menu provision, including food preparation, cooking, and serviceMaintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchen, equipment, and dining areasAssist with ordering, stock control, and checking deliveriesCarry out legislative checks and support compliance with health & safety policiesUphold food safety standards at all timesProvide excellent customer service and encourage positive relationsOperate tills and handle cash/card transactions accuratelyUse kitchen equipment responsibly and report issues to the Chef Manager or Senior Catering AssistantBe available to work evenings and weekends when requiredUndertake any other duties appropriate to the roleThe successful candidate will bring:A solid understanding of basic food hygiene practicesKnowledge of health and safety proceduresPrevious customer service experienceExperience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant environmentThe ability to carry out food preparation tasks to a high standardStrong personal hygiene and cleanliness standardsA Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential requirement)About Us:For almost 60 years, Pertemps Recruitment Partnership has been the market leader in providing permanent and temporary staffing solutions and we are one of the most established players within the recruitment industry.
