Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Head of Service for Safeguarding & QA to join Medway’s Children services.Are you a visionary leader with a passion for safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families? Medway Council is seeking a dynamic Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance to lead strategic development and drive excellence in social work practice across our Children’s Services division. As a key member of the Children’s Services Management Team, you will: Lead the Safeguarding and QA Team, ensuring high-quality, impactful services. Champion continuous improvement and innovation in social work and early help. Collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and families to shape service delivery. Oversee budgets and ensure services are delivered safely and efficiently. Provide strategic insight and challenge to improve practice and outcomes. What we are looking for in a Head of Service: You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification eg. Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent. Be registered with Social Work England. NVQ level 5 in Management or equivalent management qualification. Extensive management experience including the management of change. Experience in successfully planning for and contributing to the Ofsted inspection process.
