They pride themselves on strong governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, supported by a highly skilled finance and business control team.Job DescriptionAs an Internal Auditor, you will:Conduct audits across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.Perform detailed testing of internal controls for income statement and balance sheet areas.Prepare clear, actionable audit reports for senior management.Support external audits, annual stock checks, and due diligence for acquisitions.Contribute to process improvement projects and provide technical support on emerging business issues.Work closely with colleagues in Internal Audit and the wider finance team, including management accounts, SOPs/balance sheet, and commercial analysis.This role involves a mix of home working, time at the West Midlands office, and travel to sites across the UK and Ireland. Most visits can be completed within a 90-minute drive from the Midlands, but approximately 40 nights away are expected annually.The Successful ApplicantProven external audit and accounts experience, ideally with exposure to operational audits.Big 4 accounting backgroundProfessional qualifications (ACA, ACCA)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with senior stakeholdersAbility to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and IrelandWhat's on OfferSalary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum£6,000 car allowance & discretionary bonus scheme.25 days' holiday (including 3 days over Christmas).Company pension scheme.Study support where appropriate.Flexible working arrangements combining home, office, and field-based work.Opportunity to work on diverse projects and gain exposure to senior stakeholders.
