What you’ll do Lead the organisation’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, statutory reporting, and service charges. Partner with senior leaders to optimise resources, improve efficiency, and deliver value for money. Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, processes, and reporting. Provide clear, actionable financial advice to senior management and the Board. Support strategic projects, including long-term financial planning and regulatory compliance initiatives. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and governance. Lead, mentor, and empower the finance team, fostering accountability, professionalism, and high performance. What you’ll need Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) or equivalent, with ongoing professional membership. Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, ideally within housing or a multi-entity environment. Strong technical expertise in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting. Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to translate complex financial information for non-financial audiences. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change in a complex environment. Location This role requires one day a week in the east London head office with occasional attendance for specific meetings. Applications Closing date: 30th November.
