About the role
Dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications and to the high standards expected by our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out work detailed in estimate, removing damaged components from the vehicle in preparation for Repair/Paint work to be carried out.
- On repair/replacement of the components they must be refitted, restoring the vehicle to pre accident condition.
- Deliver the highest standard of quality.
- Attain manufacturers' and/or estimated repair times.
- Report all faults, defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.
- Accurately report all components, materials and consumables used.
- Protect customers vehicles with covers and dust sheets etc.
- Safeguard the customers' vehicle and contents whilst being repaired.
- Ensure that all work carried out meets acceptable safety and quality standards.
- Company repair/refit times to be achieved.
- Hours, components, materials and consumables used recorded.
- Wastage of materials not to exceed target set by Manager for period.
- No customer vehicle or contents to be damaged/lost while vehicles under repair.
- Ensure safe and reliable use and maintenance of equipment and that operatives receive adequate training in its use.

Skills and experience
- ATA / NVQ level 3 in MET
- Good Communication skills.
- Good Decision Making/Problem solving skills.
- Good H&S knowledge/awareness.
- Good Time management skills
- Relevant industry experience and time served as a repair technician.
