They are searching for a capable, enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects and help lead a newly-established team of design professionals, based near the lively, cultural city of Glasgow. Benefits for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include (but are not limited to): Highly competitive salary Employee Pension Scheme Generous annual leave entitlement Promotion of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Access to a range of high-profile projects across the region Having a hand in the development of the company Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include: Overseeing the design of a wide array of engineering developments Leading a range of aspects of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery Mentoring and supporting colleagues in their development Liaising with clients and stakeholders, across the public and private sectors Preparing and checking technical reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times Acting as a representative at client meetings, site visits, etc. Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include: A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering Hold Chartered Status Demonstrable experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK-based consultancy Considerable experience of working with infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling Proficient in the use of various software packages, including Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar Demonstrable experience of writing and amending a variety of reports for submission Considerable experience of client and stakeholder liaison Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include: Prior experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments Some experience of preparing Transport Assessments Previous experience of leading projects/teams Experience of working in a public-facing role Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
