Sellick Partnership are excited to be working with the London Borough of Lewisham to recruit a Senior Housing Lawyer to join this new, up and coming team on a permanent basis. We are seeking a highly experienced and friendly Housing Lawyer who would be able to assist in managing the team and hit the ground running. The main responsibilities of the Senior Housing and Disrepair Lawyer are:To handle a more complex caseload of housing litigation and advisory work, including: disrepair, possession, landlord and tenant and general housing adviceDeputise for the principal lawyer as requiredManage a group of staff within the teamAttend court as required The successful Housing and Disrepair Lawyer will posses the following:A current practising certificate - Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal ExecutiveExtensive experience in not just disrepair but all housing law areasExperience of working in either a local authority or a housing association ideally, although candidates from private practice with relevant experience are also encouraged to applyAbility to go to courtAbility to attend the office twice per week The Senior Housing and Disrepair Lawyer joining this team will enjoy the following benefits:Local Government pension schemeBike loan and season ticketsSignificant discounts in local cafes, shops and restaurantsDiscounted Gym membershipGenerous maternity, paternity and adoption leaveAccess to a health insurance schemeSupportive staff networksFlexible working arrangement Interested in applying for the Housing Lawyer role?This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Housing and Disrepair Lawyer to join a Legal Team with a great reputation.
