Design & Technology Teacher (Engineering Specialist) — Full Time, January Start Location: South Gloucestershire, near BristolContract: Full-time, ongoingSalary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS, depending on experience)Requirements: UK QTS, with experience teaching DT EngineeringA large secondary school on the outskirts of Bristol is looking for a full-time Design & Technology teacher with a strong Engineering background to join their department from January. This is a well-established school that focuses on community, equity and ambition, offering a supportive environment and a clear commitment to high-quality teaching.About the role The school is specifically looking for someone confident teaching Engineering within the DT curriculum, including: Engineering principles and technical processes Design briefs, iterative design and practical problem-solving Safe use of workshop tools, machinery and materials CAD/CAM, prototyping, technical drawings or similar areas Practical project-based work across KS3 and KS4 You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, supporting students through practical and theory-based learning, and contributing to assessment, marking and departmental planning.
