The Role As an Intermediate Temporary Works Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative temporary works designs for a wide range of construction projects. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and senior engineers to produce high-quality design solutions across:Excavation supportFalsework and formworkAccess systemsPropping and façade retentionGroundworks and structural temporary solutions ResponsibilitiesProduce temporary works design calculations, drawings, and technical documentationWork closely with senior engineers to develop designs and ensure full compliance with industry standardsCarry out technical checks and site visits as requiredProvide engineering support to contractors and internal teamsContribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design function About YouDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)2–5 years’ experience in temporary works or structural designStrong understanding of construction processes and temporary works principlesProficient in engineering software (e.g., Tekla, CAD, or equivalent)Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsA proactive, team-focused approach Salary & BenefitsCompetitive salary up to £40,000 (DOE)Opportunities for professional development and trainingSupportive and collaborative engineering teamExposure to major construction projects across the region
