If you share this ethos then this is the school for you St John's has excellent facilities including an expansive outdoor space, EAL specialist provision, learning hub intervention spaces, a well resourced library, an astroturf pitch and nurture provisions. We have made a significant investment into fully refurbishing our EYFS Reception classrooms, which provide large spaces for high quality continuous provision and child-initiated learning. We also have an EYFS SEN intervention space and a sensory room. Feedback from the local authority celebrated our high quality teaching and learning of early reading, which is a high priority for the whole school. Our vision for EYFS at St John's prioritises children's language development and widening vocabulary, social interaction and being part of a community, alongside providing rich environments and engaging learning to broaden children's life experiences and build their cultural capital.  Within our EYFS/KS1 staff team, we have a dedicated and experienced range of teachers and teaching assistants, including a speech and language therapist and an EYFS and KS1 SENDCO. This enables us to offer high quality provision for all children, as well as providing ongoing professional development for staff. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can work alongside our team to maintain and build upon the quality of learning in the EYFS. You will have high expectations for all children and believe in teaching and delivering a stimulating and creative curriculum, which is responsive to the needs and interests of the children at St John's. We place significant value on children learning through play, and are looking for a teacher who can further develop our exciting and engaging environment, both indoors and outdoors, in order to stimulate children's curiosity and a love for learning.
