Senior Social Worker - Special Intervention Team Salary: £38 / Hour Job type: Day to Day CoverLocation: Barnet Save Share Apply now We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker - Special Intervention Team within the Social Care industry in Barnet Responsibilities include:Contribute to the delivery of an effective children’s social care service as part of a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people.Manage caseloads dependent upon experience, grade of post and complexity of cases, utilising specialist knowledge for appropriate interventions, needs and assessments, care planning and child protection investigations.Carry out high quality assessments, using child-centred, community focused, and multi-agency interventions to bring about positive change through developing effective relationships and to secure the best outcomes for children and young people.Ensure children and young people are adequately protected in line with Havering LSCB and departmental policy and procedures and relevant legislation.Identify and assess levels of risk and need and delivers protective or supportive services for children at risk, in need and/or looked after.Attends a range of meetings, including child protection case conference meetings and court hearings. Experience preferred:Post qualifying experience of working within a statutory Intervention Support Team within the UK Social Care industry. The team:Well-structured organised team, growing their social worker staffing levels. Minimum Requirements:SWE Registration3 year post qualifying experience within UKEnhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)Eligibility to work in the UKBenefits of working with Ackerman Pierce:Your own personal consultantAccess to a variety of Social Care jobs Nationwide DBS and Compliance ServiceQuick and Easy Registration ProcessAccess to CPDGuaranteed weekly payment
