Software Developer - York - Hybrid - Salary £30k-£40k (DOE)Our client, a well-established brand in the hospitality and travel industry, is seeking a talented Software Developer to join their collaborative in-house development team. You'll play a key role in delivering and maintaining a high-traffic e-commerce platform while working with the latest technologies in a supportive, growth-focused environment.The RoleYou'll be involved in the full development lifecycle - designing, developing, and maintaining web applications built on Umbraco Cloud and .NET Core. This role offers variety, from building new features and integrations to supporting existing systems and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain web applications in line with project requirementsWork collaboratively with designers, developers, and business stakeholdersDeliver both front-end and back-end development using modern frameworksTroubleshoot issues and implement effective solutionsSupport internal users through the ticketing systemEnsure data integrity and security in collaboration with the Database AdministratorShare knowledge and contribute to a positive team cultureEssential Skills & ExperienceProven commercial experience in C# web developmentStrong skills in .NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Web APIsExperience using Git and DevOps toolsTeam-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsDesirableExperience with Umbraco CMS (v9 ) or other CMS platformsKnowledge of Azure, Cosmos DB, and unit testingUnderstanding of responsive design and high-traffic e-commerce sitesAbout YouYou'll have a degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), a proactive mindset, and a genuine enthusiasm for building scalable, user-focused applications.Why Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation investing in modern technology and innovation.
