Qualified Social Worker, Children with Disabilities TeamPay rate £40 per hourContract roleVitalis are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to work in a Children with Disabilities team in Rochdale.Within the role in children with disabilities, you will be expected to conduct statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014. Identify the child’s needs, strengths, and risks. Develop individual care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.Monitor for signs of neglect, abuse, or exploitation, work within child protection procedures when concerns arise. Liaise with multi-agency partners (health, education, police) to ensure safety.Support Coordination and arrange short breaks, direct payments, personal assistants, and other support services. Help families access benefits, housing, and community resources. Advocate for the child’s rights and inclusion in education and social life.Transition Planning, including Support young people as they move from children’s to adult services, work with adult social care to ensure continuity of support.This is a contract role, and you will need to have experience in a similar role.Don’t forget, if this role isn’t the perfect fit, we’re confident we can find one that is.
