You will help shape the delivery of complex works that will bring advanced rail technology to the UK network and support the future operations of a landmark high-speed railway.The role sits within the client project team overseeing the design and construction of a major rolling stock maintenance depot and integrated control centre in Birmingham. This facility will act as the primary base for the new fleet and brings together a wide range of disciplines, creating a highly engaging and technically varied delivery environment.You will take responsibility for contract preparation and delivery planning, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure scope, cost, time and quality targets are met. This includes managing contractors, overseeing assurance and governance, monitoring change, and ensuring your project integrates effectively with adjacent programmes. You will have the freedom to influence decisions, drive solutions and play an active role in a collaborative integrated team.This position would suit a senior level Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering depot, control centre or similar railway infrastructure projects from design through to completion. It offers the chance to work on a complex, high profile scheme with excellent long term development opportunities. The Role:* Lead delivery planning, contract preparation and day to day project management for key rail systems packages * Manage contractors to ensure delivery to time, cost, quality and scope requirements * Oversee reporting, risk analysis, schedule performance and change control * Coordinate project integration with related infrastructure programmes and stakeholders * Ensure all assurance, governance and NEC project management duties are met The Person:* Senior Project Manager with experience delivering, train depot or control centre projects * Strong background across full project lifecycle including planning, procurement and implementation * Skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, collaboration and decision making * Excellent understanding of schedule management, risk, cost reporting and complex multi discipline delivery
