Job Title: Advanced Social Work Practitioner – Safeguarding TeamLocation: WorcestershireRate: £33.30 per hour An exciting job role has recently become available at the Worcestershire County Council. They are looking for a new member for their Safeguarding Team. Responsibilities:The Safeguarding Children in Need team works directly with families identified as Children in Need under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989. You will handle cases transferred from Locality Safeguarding, including those with no recourse to public funds, designated CIN LA, or SGO support plans. Your role involves supporting children who have stepped down from a child protection plan, privately fostered children, those on Supervision Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, and children whose families have no recourse to public funds. You will also manage cases involving babies from the pre-birth pathway, Section 7 and 37 private law proceedings, and pregnant teenagers or young parents. The transfer process includes reviewing transfer requests and ensuring timely and appropriate case management.
