We are seeking a committed individual with a specialism in either Biology or Chemistry to lead our vibrant Science Department. The Role: As Head of Science, you will: * Lead and manage the Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning * Develop and implement a broad and engaging curriculum in line with national standards * Inspire and motivate both students and staff to achieve academic excellence * Oversee the delivery of Biology or Chemistry, ensuring lessons are engaging and innovative * Promote a culture of continuous professional development and education and training within the department * Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary * Work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive whole-school initiatives The Ideal Candidate: * A qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in Biology or Chemistry * Proven leadership experience, either as a Head of Science or in a middle management role * A passion for science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities * Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively * A commitment to high standards in education and training * A strategic thinker with a vision for the future of science education * Live in or be able to reliably commute to Brent If you are a dedicated and inspirational teacher ready to take on the challenge of Head of Science from September 2025in Brent, we would love to hear from you.
