We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join the team in Newry. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting international growth and ensuring robust financialpliance across multiple territories.Your new role The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for setting up and managingpliance and accounting frameworks for new European entities as the business expands. This includes overseeing VAT, payroll, statutorypliance, and financial reporting requirements. The role is ideal for someone with experience in multi-jurisdictional accounting and a strong understanding of European regulatory environments.Key Responsibilities:Establish and maintain accounting andpliance processes for new European entitiesPrepare and submit VAT returns across multiple jurisdictionsManage payroll processes in line with local regulationsEnsurepliance with statutory reporting requirementsLiaise with external advisors and local authorities as neededSupport month-end and year-end close processesAssist with audit preparation and respond to audit queriesContribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and controlsWhat you'll need to succeed Proven experience in European accounting andpliance setupStrong knowledge of VAT, payroll, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictionsPart-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrongmunication skills and ability to collaborate across team.Experience working in a fast-paced, international environmentFamiliarity with accounting software and ERP systemsExperience in the construction industry or with construction-related financial processesWhat you'll get in return 30 days HolidaysOpportunities for professional developmentSupportive team environmentPotential for career progression as thepany grows
