Description To provide technical support to all areas daily across both electrical and mechanical disciplines. To ensure the department operates with due regard to current legislation, company, and statutory requirements. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment throughout the site. Installation of production and plant equipment, commissioning, breakdown analysis and repair. Identify areas in which engineering improvements can be made to increase quality, efficiency, or safety. Carry out duties with due regard to the environment. Assist with the training of company apprentices. Will attend meetings when required to do so. Will prepare concise and accurate reports when required to do so. Will keep abreast of new technology and advise the company accordingly. To work with strict accordance to all company H&S policies. Ability to work within advised production plans to ensure machine availability and reliability. Concise and accurate documentation Press cycle times improvement in evidence To establish and maintain a safe working environment. Rapid response to machine failure Pragmatic approach to budgetary control Train subordinates in required skills Machine servicing developed to agreed plan. Ensure all legalisation requirements are met. Proactive can-do attitude to work and colleagues. What will you bring to the role? Must have a recognised qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering. Working in a flexible engineering team environment Report writing Lean engineering principles Understanding of fast-moving manufacturing process Proactive can-do attitude to help in all areas of the business. Conscientious Autonomy and openness to experience and further development / learning. Excellent Housekeeping Desirable Qualification in both electrical and mechanical engineering to HNC or HND level or NVQ equivalent 18 th edition IEE wiring regs H&S qualifications IOSH or NEBOSH C&G 2391-52 inspection and test Ready to apply?
