As they scale our operations, we are looking for a proactive and driven Financial Controller to take full ownership of their finance function. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth business at a pivotal stage and play a key role in shaping the financial future of the company.The RoleAs Financial Controller, you will be the number one in finance, responsible for leading and developing all financial processes, controls and reporting across the business. You will be hands-on in the day-to-day operations while also providing strategic insight to support decision-making at senior level. This role will suit someone who is motivated, ambitious, and eager to grow with the business as they expand internationally.Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Leadership & OwnershipTake full responsibility for the end-to-end finance functionPartner closely with the business owners to provide financial insight and strategic recommendationsDevelop and implement robust financial controls, processes and systemsFinancial Reporting & CompliancePrepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and board reportingEnsure compliance with UK and US accounting standards and statutory requirementsOversee tax submissions and liaise with external accountants (UK and US)Budgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisLead the budgeting and forecasting processProduce insightful financial analysis to support commercial decisionsMonitor company performance and highlight opportunities, risks and trendsCashflow & Investment ManagementManage cashflow forecasting and working capitalSupport the owners with investment planning, modelling and due diligenceOversee banking and investment activity.US Expansion & AccountingEnsure accurate accounting and reporting for US operationsMaintain understanding of US GAAP and relevant tax requirementsSupport operational teams as the company grows across AmericaOperational & Hands-On DutiesManage day-to-day finance tasks (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, month-end)Implement process improvements and optimise financial workflowsWork with external auditors, advisors and tax partnersWe are looking for someone who is:Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable owning the finance functionAmbitious and eager to grow with a scaling businessA natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving environmentComfortable working hands-on while thinking strategicallyEssential Experience & SkillsQualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE (Qualified by Experience)Experience in an SME environment, ideally as a Financial Controller or similar roleStrong knowledge of UK accounting standardsUnderstanding of US GAAP, US tax considerations and cross-border operationsProven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modellingExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholdersInterested?
