ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Estimator you will be leading the estimating team and preparing bids. You will prepare analytical estimates from first principles and all necessary associated data required to produce work-winning tender bids. You'll be expected to review tender information to assess workscope, taking off accurate quantities where necessary, compiling comprehensive enquires for subcontractors and other resources, utilising all available tender information to remove ambiguity. This role is to be based out of the Manchester office. You will be bidding on projects in the highways and water sectors.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a Senior Estimator for a UK-based major infrastructure contractor. Your work history should be stable, having worked at your previous companies for a number of years.
HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or other technically-related subject Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating practice with an understanding of Civil Engineering; especially water, wastewater, highways and groundworks. Minimum 5 years' on-site experience within a water/wastewater utility organisation Excellent skills in estimating software such as Valesco, Causeway, Conquest or Candy. Proven financial and commercial management skills Good working knowledge of CESMM, HWMM, SMM7 Good working knowledge of NEC forms of Contract This opportunity is a permanent position.REWARDS AND BENEFITS
You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary of £70,000 – £80,000 + a company car or car allowance.
