Senior Architect Job in Brighton, East Sussex in Brighton, East Sussex joining an award-winning architectural practice renowned for its creative, people-centred approach and sector expertise in education, healthcare, commercial, and later-living design. This is a great opportunity to lead education projects at a company that’s shaping spaces for future generations. This employee-owned practice has around 50 professionals across its two offices. With a focus on thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable design, they’ve built a reputation for delivering innovative environments that enhance lives. As the practice continues to expand, they are now seeking a Senior Architect to work on its retirement living and leisure projects across the South, from concept through to completion. Role & Responsibilities Lead the design and management of education projects, collaborating with the wider design and technical team Report directly to the Project Director ensuring design integrity and project quality across all stages Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, encouraging professional development Build and maintain client relationships, coordinating with contractors and consultants for successful delivery Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Required Skills & Experience ARB registered Architect with 5+ years’ UK experience post Part III qualification Proven experience leading projects from concept to completion Strong knowledge of building regulations, and sector standards Ability to lead teams of architects, technologists, and assistants effectively Excellent communication and presentation skills with clients and stakeholders Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
