Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking to take ownership of core financial processes and play a pivotal role within a growing, collaborative finance team?This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic FMCG environment where you will support strategic decision-making, lead key reporting cycles, and ensure the business maintains a robust and reliable financial position.The Role - What You'll Be DoingIn this hands-on and influential role, you will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of financial reporting and controls across the business.Key duties include:Month-End & ReportingLead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reportingOversee key month-end tasks including sales, cost of goods, stock, accruals, and volume/price/mix analysisProduce accurate management accounts and reporting packsForecasting & AnalysisLead the perpetual forecasting process, ensuring timely and high-quality outputsMaintain and update ongoing cashflow forecasts, proactively highlighting potential issuesReview P&Ls for promotions, new business, NPD and annual customer termsSystems & AuditMaintain the accounting system (SAGE X3), ensuring smooth month-end and year-end processesLead the year-end audit, ensuring all information is prepared, accurate, and delivered on timeDrive continuous improvement across financial controls and reportingTeam Leadership & Business SupportLine-manage, mentor and support a Finance AssistantPartner with senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and influencing decisionsProvide ad-hoc support to the Finance Director across strategic and operational initiativesAbout You - Key RequirementsEssential Skills & KnowledgeStrong technical understanding of UK GAAPExcellent analytical, numerical and forecasting abilitiesHigh level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detailConfident communicator able to influence stakeholdersStrong presentation skills and ability to challenge constructivelyExceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesHands-on team player, comfortable working in a small, collaborative finance functionEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solvingExperienceQualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with strong practical experienceProven experience producing monthly management accounts and reporting packsSolid background in budgeting, forecasting and performance trackingExperience leading or supporting year-end auditsAdvanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, Power Query)Experience using BI tools (desirable)Proven ability to influence at senior levelWhy Apply?High-visibility role reporting to the Finance DirectorOpportunity to shape processes and add real valueSupportive team culture within a fast-moving FMCG environmentHybrid working and strong development potentialExcellent holiday, pension, bonus and freebiesIf you're a driven Management Accountant seeking a role where you can make a tangible impact and develop your career, we'd love to hear from you.
