As a small-sized company, it offers an opportunity to work in a close-knit environment that values expertise and precision in accounting and finance.Job DescriptionThe Management Accountant duties will include:Support the Project Finance Manager to ensure that monthly and annual responsibilities are satisfied in line with expectations.Involvement in transactional duties eg purchase order & invoice processing, expenses, weekly bank reconciliations.Take ownership of the monthly management accounts and financial reports.Preparation and posting of monthly journal (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets etc).Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Assist the annual tax, accounting, statuatory accounts and audit year-end processes.Assist in execution of activities detailed on monthly to-do lists (eg VAT returns, CIS returns)Adhoc analysis and support to the wider finance teamSupport the junior members of the team with queries and act as an escalation point before the management levelsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful Management Accountant should have/be:Actively be studying ACCA or CIMA ideally to the Part Qualified or Finalist level.Demonstrable experience in Management Accounting.Strong knowledge in month end-processes and transactional finance.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Flexible approach to deal with a rapidly growing and developing environment.Be able to drive due to location of the role.What's on OfferThe successful Management Accountant will receive:Competitive salary ranging from £39,000 to £42,000 per annum.Study Support packagePerformance based bonus of up to 10%5% employer pension matchFree on site parkingClear career progression pathDiscount portal and numerous salary sacrifice optionsIf you are a motivated professional looking to excel as a Management Accountant, apply now to join this exciting opportunity near Reading.
