Your newpany Tetra Tech, a global leader in high-end consulting and engineering services, is partnering with Hays Recruitment to hire Principal/Associate Mechanical Engineers for their Building Services team in Belfast. This expert team deliversprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering solutions, providing design and installation services across a range of sectors including Healthcare, Education,mercial, and Defence. With a long-standing presence in Northern Ireland, Tetra Tech has a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects throughout the region. Your new role In this role, you will lead and deliver multiple medium to large-scale projects, epassing all facets of design within mechanical engineering consultancy services. You will be responsible for undertaking calculations, producing drawings, specifications and reports, conducting site surveys, managing construction stage duties, liaising with clients, and consulting with design/construction teams.Key Responsibilities:Production and review of detailed design calculations for all aspects of mechanical designProduction of specifications and plant schedulesCreation of design notes, basis of design, and RIBA stage reportsDevelopment of design drawings from concept to detailed designConducting detailed site surveys and installation inspectionsMentoring junior and intermediate engineersInput into fee estimates and bid processesSupporting directors with resource planning and team workload managementWhat you'll need to succeed Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related fieldChartered Engineer status or working towards itStrong project management skills across full project lifecycleExcellentmunication and client-facing skillsAbility to build and maintain client relationshipsLeadership qualities and team development experienceExpertise in Mechanical Engineering and low carbon designProficiency in Revit and Navisworks; MagiCAD experience desirableValid UK Driving LicenceWhat you'll get in return This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world’s leading engineering consultancies, working onplex and meaningful projects that shape the built environment.
