Advert Herne C E Infant & Nursery School Part time Temporary Teaching assistant From January 2026 to August 2026 10 hours per week term time only (1.15pm-3.15pm every day) Paid on Kent Salary A Term time only Pro Rata (£24,513 Full time equivalent) We are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to join our fantastic team. We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to support children with special educational needs. The needs cover SEMH, Autism, trauma and attachment. This role is to enable individuals in our Year 2 cohort to access learning and develop social skills. You will be well supported and receive appropriate training. We are looking to appoint that special person who is: An enthusiastic practitioner committed to a child centred approach Imaginative and creative in you approach to teaching and learning Dedicated to excellence, inclusion and raising standards and has high expectations Flexible, resilient and can use initiative Organised with good interpersonal skills Able to foster and maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parent/carers Determined to make a difference We may interview prospective candidates prior to the closing date.
