The RoleAs a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and producing high-quality fabricated assemblies, including tanks, frames and conveyor units. This is a hands-on role requiring strong MIG welding experience, excellent attention to detail, and confidence using a wide range of workshop machinery and hand tools.You will work as part of a supportive team in a busy fabrication environment, ensuring all work meets required quality, accuracy and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret technical and engineering drawingsFabricate tanks, conveyors and various metal components to precise specificationsPerform MIG welding on mild steel (typically 3mm - 10mm thickness)Carry out metal finishing including grinding, linishing and deburringUse a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectivelyOperate workshop machinery including:GuillotineFoldersRollersDrillsEnsure all work is completed to a high standard of accuracy and workmanshipMaintain a clean and safe working environmentFollow company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all timesSkills & Experience RequiredEssential:Proven MIG welding experience (3mm-10mm mild steel)Ability to confidently read and work from technical/engineering drawingsStrong fabrication skills, including cutting, bending, tacking and assemblingExperience using hand tools (grinders, linishers, drills, etc.)Competent operating fabrication machinery (guillotines, folders, rollers)Excellent attention to detail and quality of finishAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable:Experience fabricating conveyors or tanksAdditional welding skills (TIG, stick, etc.)Experience in a manufacturing or production workshop environmentWhy Apply?Established, supportive engineering teamVaried fabrication work with opportunities to develop skillsStable and growing businessCompetitive salary and benefits package
