This is an excellent opportunity for a London based professional indemnity or insurance disputes Solicitor to join the compliance team of a leading City law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This urgent hire will support the Head of Professional Liability with a broad range of work including the management of claims, client complaints, insurance matters, and internal investigations.Key responsibilities include:Handling and reporting professional indemnity claimsDrafting responses to complaints and liaising with the Legal OmbudsmanAssisting with insurance notifications and renewalsSupporting internal and regulatory investigationsAdvising on contentious matters involving the firm or its suppliersThe ideal candidate will have:5–7+ years’ post-qualification experience in litigationA background in professional negligence and/or insurance coverageExperience in handling claims against Solicitors (desirable)Previous exposure to in-house or compliance-focused roles (advantageous)Strong communication skills and the ability to work independentlyThis is a great fit for someone immediately available and looking for a high-quality, non-fee-earning role within a respected legal environment.
