As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to pupils with complex needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and personally.About the Role:Provision: Work within an SEN school setting, teaching pupils who have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, physical disabilities and other associated needs. Approach: Deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum that is fully integrated with specialist support services (speech & language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, SEMH support).Collaboration: Work closely with an on-site therapy team, care and support staff, and other teaching professionals to design and implement personalised learning plans.Environment: Teach in small classes, in a nurturing, supportive, and safe residential and day-pupil special school. Development: Contribute to fostering independence in pupils through life skills programmes and therapeutic interventions. Person Specification:We are looking for a KS1 Teacher who:Is qualified to teach in the UK (QTS or equivalent) with experience in primary education.Has a strong understanding of and enthusiasm for working in a special school environment.Has experience (or a willingness to develop) in supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs, moderate learning difficulties, and additional SEND.Can adapt planning and teaching to meet very individual needs, ensuring all pupils make aspirational progress.Is committed to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (therapists, care staff, support staff) to co-create and deliver personalised learning.Demonstrates excellent communication, patience, resilience, and a positive, can-do attitude.Is ambitious for all pupils and believes in promoting dignity, independence and growth for children with SEN.Why Join Us?You will be part of a well-established SEN special school that has provided specialist education since 1922.
