Your newpany Your newpany are an independent Environmental consultancy, specialising in Flood Risk, Ground Investigation, Land Remediation and Project Management. Over 25 years, they have be experts in unlocking land, de-risking sites and accelerating development across the residential,mercial, industrial, energy, solar farm sectors (and many more).This multi-award-winning organisation have grown to over 50 staff in recent years, and now have 5 offices across the UK. You have the option of joining the business in either Manchester city centre or North Manchester.Your new role As a Flood Risk or Senior Flood Risk consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of all projects, as well as contributing to the development and long-term growth of the team. Your day-to-day responsibilities are as followed: Management and delivery of Flood Risk Assessments and Conceptual Surface Water Drainage Strategies for planning applications Production of quotes and Project Management including budgeting and use of financial system Client and regulatory liaison Liaison with sub-consultants Business development which mostly includes retention of existing clients, however also the opportunity to develop your own client list through networking events etc. Mentoring and training of junior staff Supporting senior staff to develop and grow the flood risk team What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed, you will need to have a relevant HNC or BSc in Geography, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or other relevant fieldYou should also have at least 2 years of UK-based consultancy workpleting FRA's and drainage strategiesExperience with design packages including AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage/Causeway, GIS softwareStrong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environmentAn interest in developing your soft and technical skills via CPDA collaborative approach that you are the team are all working towards the same goalWhat you'll get in return You will receive apetitive annual salary in the £32,000 - £45,000 range, depending on experience Hybrid/ multi-office working options available A genuinely impressive team and office culture which has been carefully curated through great nights out, social events and charity days as well as the general approach to day-to-day office life 24 days annual leave, plus bank holidays accruing with service up to 29, and with the option to buy or sellAward-winning training and staff development schemes and opportunityFree on-site parking in North Manchester office
