Aspiring Clinical Psychologist – Learning Support Assistant Maidenhead Aspiring Clinical Psychologist – Learning Support Assistant Maidenhead Start Date: January Schedule: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only Pay: £101.40 per day Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised support to students with Autism, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and PDA profiles. Understand and adapt approaches for children across the autism spectrum, from non-verbal and highly sensory learners to academically able students who may mask their difficulties. Support pupils affected by trauma by creating predictable routines, promoting safety, and using relational approaches that build trust. Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and positive behaviour support strategies. Facilitate social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence through structured play, communication support, and visual aids. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to promote holistic development. Record observations and progress, providing valuable feedback to staff and parents. Contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom where diversity is celebrated and every child is valued. What We’re Looking For: A degree in Psychology or a related field (preferred but not essential). Experience supporting children or young people with Autism, SEMH needs, PDA, or trauma backgrounds is highly beneficial. A genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent learners and a desire to make a positive difference. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience at the heart of your practice. A proactive, reflective, and solution-focused approach to challenges. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one). Why Choose Milk Education?
