Job description SEN Specialist Teacher Art & Food Technology Focus Autism Specialist School Near Dorchester, Dorset Are you a creative and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting autistic learners through expressive and practical subjects? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher with expertise in Art and Food Technology to join our specialist autism provision near Dorchester, Dorset. This long-term role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every childs individuality is celebrated. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Art and Food Technology tailored to the needs of autistic pupils. Create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils educational and emotional development. Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of sensory, communication, and learning needs. Contribute to the development of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with autistic children or young people in a specialist or mainstream setting. Strong subject knowledge in Art and/or Food Technology.
