Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the West Caithness Health and Social Care Team based at William Smith House, Thurso. We are looking for a motivated & enthusiastic individual who will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence. The post holder needs to be flexible and able to use their own initiative. The post-holder will provide high standards of patient care in support of the team to ensure delivery of a high quality service to the local community. Experience not required, as full training and induction will be given. Opportunities to complete your SVQ in Health & Social Care, and the possibility of further career progression A driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes. A pool vehicle is available for rural areas.This is a permanent 17.27 hours per week post working on a 4.00pm - 9.00pm 4 days on, 4 days off rota or as per service requirements. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
