Mechanical Fitter Contract Type: Permanent Location: Coventry - West Midlands Industry: Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology Contact Name: Joshua Tomlinson Contact Email: Contact Phone: 0121 236 1662 Date Published: 27-Jun-2024 An established manufacturing company are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of a wide range of machinery. Your expertise will ensure tasks run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires flexibility, as you will sometimes be required to leave the main site to repair machinery at various locations. Salary up to £35,000k working on a day shift plus availability of overtime and access to a staff canteen. Responsibilities of the Mechanical fitter: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment. Ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability. Occasionally travel off-site to perform repairs and maintenance at customer locations. Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used. We would love to hear from any Mechanical Fitters that have : Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role. Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and machinery. Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to travel off-site when required. Good communication and teamwork skills.
