Role Overview:
As the Category Manager for Social Services, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement, contract management, and supplier relationships within the social care sector. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy: Develop and implement a robust category strategy for social services, aligning with organisational goals and priorities.Procurement: Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including market research, tendering, negotiation, and contract award.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with social care providers, ensuringpliance with contractual terms and performance metrics.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery, quality, and cost.
Collaboration: Work closely with service managers,missioners, and other stakeholders to optimise service provision.
Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and best practices within the category, seeking opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
Qualifications and Experience:Experience: Proven experience in category management, procurement, or contract management within social services or a related field.
Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Skills: Excellent negotiation,munication, and stakeholder management skills.
Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
