We are now recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join a well-established NHS trust based in Redruth, Cornwall on a locum contract. The post on offer will be an immediate start for a period of 3 months, working full-time, 37.5 hours per week. The post holder will work within the Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) providing a high-quality service across all areas of the Mental Health. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. To work within your professional scope of practice. Duties and Responsibilities: To work independently as part of an interdisciplinary team to diagnose, asses, plan and implement patient specific programmes of care/interventions, contributing to the continuous assessment of patience. To undertake more complex assessment, using your profession specific clinical knowledge and skills. To function effectively across a variety of environments (e.g. ward, department, patient homes etc.) involving changing and demanding conditions. To use a comprehensive range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients, and their families/carers, the diagnosis and treatment plan, that may be complex and sensitive, to help progress rehabilitation. This may include patients who have difficulties with understanding and communication. etc Skills and experience needed: Managing a caseload Offer clinical treatment work and consultation Experience with a wide range of mental health presentations Can work well independently and as part of the team Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or RMN with relevant accreditation What next?
