Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading construction firm on the appointment of an HSE Manager.As HSE Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of H&S policies, provide guidance and coaching to operational teams, and ensure all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with ISO and legislative standards.In your new role:Lead, develop, and continually enhance Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and practicesEnsure adherence to HSE legislation, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and internal company requirementsCarry out risk evaluations, workplace inspections, and incident analysesAdvocate for employee wellbeing, mental health programs, and foster a proactive safety cultureDeliver professional advice on HSE, environmental management, and operational compliance mattersManage contractor performance and enforce robust subcontractor management proceduresKeep accurate HSE documentation, compile reports, and ensure all regulatory obligations are fulfilledEngage in management forums, contributing to organization-wide strategic and operational planningSupport ongoing improvement initiatives and sustainability or corporate responsibility programsWhat you will need to succeed:3+ years' experience in a Construction H&S Management roleRelevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH)In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and ISO management standardsGood communication and influencing skillsIT and numeracy skills (MS Office)Full driving licenseDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):Experience within the maintenance or public sector construction projectsNEBOSH Diploma / Degree in Safety or related disciplineIOSH MembershipExperience working across multiple sites operationsFor a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
