Job Description Salary: £75,000-£85,000 + DOE + Exceptional benefits Sector: Marine Insurance - Hull & Machinery, War Risks, P&I Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent We are working with a specialist marine insurance brokerage to support the expansion of their team following a period of sustained growth, alongside some recent structural changes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative, international organisation with a flat structure and a genuine team-first approach. This is an opportunity suited to an experienced Marine Account Handler with a number of years experience. You will work closely with a team of brokers, technicians, and account handlers to deliver seamless support across a portfolio of established key accounts, particularly within the Hull & Machinery and War Risks markets. The business is known for its inclusive, family-feel environment, with 7-8 nationalities represented across the group. It's a tight-knit team, where everyone supports each other and shares responsibility. You'll be part of a technically strong and diverse workforce that values collaboration over hierarchy.Benefits Hybrid working  25 days annual leave (increasing with service) + your birthday and a charity day off 15% employer pension contribution £1,000 annual travel allowance Discretionary annual bonus (10% typical) Private medical and dental cover Death in service, long-term sick pay, annual MOT for all employees Monthly wellness allowance (£50 towards gym/yoga, etc.) Online employee discount portal Summer and Christmas parties Stunning office space on the 38th floor of an iconic London building, complete with rooftop terrace and onsite bar Responsibilities Manage and service a portfolio of key marine insurance accounts Work closely with brokers to ensure smooth client servicing and policy administration Take ownership of more complex accounts while supporting junior staff Mentor and guide less experienced account handlers and technicians Provide technical input across Hull & Machinery, War Risks, and P&I where applicable Muck in and assist the wider team during peak periods or when resource is tight Liaise with underwriters, clients, and internal teams to resolve issues swiftly and professionally What We're Looking For Experience in marine insurance, ideally in an account handling role Strong technical knowledge of Hull & Machinery and War insurance A team player with a collaborative mindset - someone who is happy to get stuck in Previous experience mentoring junior staff is highly desirable Italian language skills are an advantage but not essential - lessons are available in-house Senior-level gravitas without the desire to move into a broking role Interested?
