Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Nottingham on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an experienced, professional, multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be part of their Mechanical and Electrical Design team and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive designs, detailed drawings and intricate schematics, utilising a suite of current software tools. These will be delivered to meet the relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and other relevant standards, including those related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Electrical Design Engineer Position Remuneration

​Salary: £40k - £55k (Guide only - DOE) ​Local Government Pension Scheme including generous employer contributions and Life assurance of 3x salary ​BUPA Private Medical Insurance ​25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and additional birthday leave ​Exposure to a wide range of projects and development opportunities ​Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay ​Based at their Nottingham office, flexible working hours and to support your work/life balance.

Electrical Design Engineer Position Requirements

Professionally qualified to degree level or equivalent. Ideally professionally registered with CIBSE and/or IET. Proficiency in REVIT Prior experience in a similar Electrical Design Engineer role working within another consultancy in the built environment.

Electrical Design Engineer Position Overview

Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice or guidelines. ​Ensuring that any project changes, which may impact on overall programme plans, costs, or timescales, are reviewed and agreed in advance with the relevant Project Manager and client. ​Managing projects effectively to ensure that the co-ordination of technical elements is achieved to meet project targets. ​Provide exceptional proficiency in electrical building services design, and a deep comprehension of technical requirements, legislation, and industry best practice. ​Utilise the most effective procurement methods to achieve the best delivery of projects for the client and raising their awareness of the services provided by Arc. ​Carry out designs using AutoCAD, Revit, Stabicad and relevant design tools. ​Provide professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
